Job summary

Clayton County Public Schools - King Elementary in College Park, GA is seeking a Paraprofessional Educator to provide one-on-one support to exceptional education students in elementary settings.

The role requires an associate degree or higher, completion of 60 semester hours, and passing the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment; related experience is desirable. Starting date is immediate; salary range is $23,910 to $33,252, full-time, 190 days. Open until Nov 10, 2026.

Qualifications

• Hold an associate’s degree or higher in any subject from a GaPSC-accepted accredited institution.
• Have completed two years of college coursework with a grade of C or better at a GaPSC-accepted accredited institution.
• Have passed the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment and hold a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Provides one-on-one support to selected students in resource, self-contained, and regular classrooms.
• Conducts small group or individual activities based on teacher lesson plans.
• Assists with preparation of instructional materials and grading work.
• Performs duties to meet needs of students (e.g., assisting with mobility, personal hygiene, behavior management).
• Assists with routine record keeping and school-wide supervision.
