Job summary

Marrion Elementary School is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator to support students under the supervision of the Special Education instructor and building principal. The role involves one-to-one and small-group instructional support and data collection to track progress toward IEP goals.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and qualification options such as ETS ParaPro score or college credits.

Qualifications

• Basic typing/keyboard skills required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and parents.
• Ability to work with and supervise students.
• Demonstrates flexibility, initiative and cooperativeness.

Responsibilities

• Provide special education services and supports to eligible students as directed.
• Assist in implementing IEP goals and learning activities.
• Maintain accurate data on student progress and records.
• Attend trainings and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
