Job summary

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and NCLB compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• NCLB compliance – 60 college credit hours, associate’s degree, or para educator license OR competency test.
• Computer/technology training as required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing instruction to individuals or small groups as directed by the teacher.
• Participate in professional development and IEP/behavior meetings when applicable.
• Support students based on individual needs and monitor progress.
• Communicate with teachers about programs and materials to meet student needs.
• Follow health, safety practices and district policies.
• Maintain professional behavior with staff, students and families.
