Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• NCLB/compliance – 60 college credits, an associate’s degree, or para educator license or successful competency test.
• Computer/technology training as required for the position.
• Experience with students with special needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing instruction to individuals or small groups of students.
• Participate in professional development and student support.
• Support students based on individual needs and IEP/504 plans.
• Monitor and report progress of student behavior and academics.
• Communicate with teachers regarding programs and materials.
