Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements for the subject and level assigned or related training/work for certification waivers under the DOI.
• Student teaching or approved internship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to the district curriculum.
• Prepare lessons with accommodations for different learning styles.
• Present TEKS-based content per TEA guidelines and policies.
• Plan strategies and materials reflecting diverse learning needs and TEKS for assessments.
• Assess student learning and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Work with staff to set instructional goals and methods.
• Supervise teacher aides and volunteers.
• Use technology to strengthen teaching and TEKS delivery.
• Maintain compliance with district policies and document records.
