Boston Public Schools seeks an exceptional Elementary and Special Education teacher with an SEI endorsement who is highly qualified to join our community of teachers, learners and leaders. This is an exciting opportunity for teachers who desire to serve where their efforts matter.

Qualifications

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Possess MA teaching license Elementary 1-6 with Moderate Disabilities PK-8.
  • Hold SEI Endorsement or ESL license for appropriate grade level.
  • Meet state and federal guidelines to be fully licensed and Highly Qualified.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Elementary General Curriculum inclusive of students with Special Needs and English Language Learners (SEI).
  • Provide small-group instruction to students with moderate to severe cognitive delays to progress in the general curriculum.
  • Write and implement IEP goals and provide regular progress reports.
  • Provide accommodations, develop curriculum as needed, and prepare for MCAS Alternative Assessment.
  • Collaborate with staff to support student needs and modifications.
