Forest Grove School District 15 seeks a Special Education Teacher- Elementary (Temporary) to promote successful learning for students eligible for IDEA services. You will manage a caseload, communicate with families and staff, and develop, implement and monitor IEPs in collaboration with the IEP team.

You will work with other specialists to provide services, deliver instruction in various settings, and ensure timely IDEA paperwork while supporting inclusive practices in the mainstream classroom.

Qualifications

• Oregon Teaching License with Special Education Generalist Endorsement
• Experience coordinating, supporting and instructing multiple classified staff members
• Experience delivering direct instruction, behavioral and academic programs for students on the autism spectrum
• Experience designing and implementing functional routines with embedded communicative opportunities for students with developmental disabilities

Responsabilités

• Develop and write programs, plans and schedules for special education students.
• Support general education teachers and staff in developing IEPs.
• Provide specially designed instruction using evidence-based curriculum.
• Collaborate with other specialists to develop services for students.
• Plan and implement service delivery models including individual and small group and classroom settings.
• Maintain communication with students, parents, and home school personnel.
