• Course work should include Foundations of special education, behavior management techniques, assessment and evaluation methods, instructional strategies for students with disabilities and inclusive teaching practices

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of related subject matter, instructional skills, and resource materials.

• Establishes positive classroom and campus management per policies.
• Develops IEPs based on assessments and goals.
• Develops lesson plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Communicates with students and parents about progress.
• Works with parents and school personnel to provide appropriate education.
• Maintains student records related to achievement, attendance, and discipline.
• Provides a safe learning environment and supports school goals.
• Assists with other duties related to assignment.
