Job summary

Arlington ISD seeks a Classroom Assistant for Special Education at Hill Elementary to support instructional activities for ECSE/AC/ISPD programs. This is an hourly, federally funded position with duties including one-to-one and small group instruction, health-related supports, and classroom management under teacher supervision.

The role requires a High School Diploma; school-based experience is preferred and a valid driver's license is desirable.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with instruction and management activities (1:1 and small group).
• Document assistance to students needing health-related services while maintaining dignity and safety.
• Deliver teacher-determined support in assigned setting and prepare instructional materials.
• Perform data keeping and instructional preparation tasks.
• Supervise and instruct students during ARD meetings, staffings and conferences.
• Support student safety during bus, lunch, and play areas.
• Work with teachers and staff to ensure student safety and success.
