Job summary

Kansas City Public Schools in Kansas City, MO, seeks an Elementary Coach to provide instruction, leadership and supervision to students in the athletics program. This seasonal, full-time role reports to the Board of Education and requires a valid teaching certificate.

Responsibilities include leading practices, supervising athletes, coordinating equipment and paperwork, and promoting academic and athletic achievement while upholding professional standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a Teachers Certificate or valid Substitute Certificate or Temporary (provisional) Teacher’s Certificate.

• Follow through on all required paperwork including rosters, physicals, insurance forms, and parent consent forms.
• Help provide information for transportation, facilities, officials and game management.
• Conduct team and self in an ethical manner during practices and contests, always exemplifying the highest standards of sportsmanship.
• Assist in the coordination of the program.
• Promote student athlete’s accomplishments academically and athletically.
• Continue professional growth through clinics and professional publications.

PURPOSE OF JOB: Provide instruction, leadership and supervision to elementary school students participating in the sports program.

What You'll Be Doing: (Responsibilities)
