Job summary

Spindle is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to lead a self-contained elementary class near Grass Valley, CA for the 2026-2027 school year. The role runs Aug 18, 2026 to Jun 8, 2027, with a 7:30 am–2:30 pm schedule and partial Fridays.

9-10 students, caseload up to 14, emphasizing individualized instruction and IEP collaboration. Experience with IEP processes and inclusive teaching is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Mild/Moderate California teaching credential in Special Education.
• Previous experience teaching elementary special education classes preferred.
• Strong understanding of IEP processes, compliance, and individualized instruction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction in a supportive classroom.
• Complete and facilitate IEPs, collaborating with families and support staff.
• Monitor, document, and report on student progress.
• Adapt teaching materials and strategies to meet diverse needs.
