Qualifications

• Hold valid NJ teaching certification or meet the GPA requirement.
• GPA requirements depend on graduation date; post-2016 ≥3.0 or 2.75–3.0 with Praxis passed.
• Pre-2016 ≥2.75 GPA

Responsibilities

• Create, internalize, modify and prepare lesson plans with grade-level team.
• Use data to responsively teach to mastery of academic skills.
• Collaborate with students, families and colleagues to support progress.
• Maintain classroom management to reinforce a strong learning environment.
• Assist with diagnostic and progress monitoring testing.
• Track student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
• Update student performance trackers to inform lesson plans.
• Participate in school, departmental and parent meetings.
• Attend school events and programs beyond regular hours.
