College Achieve Public Schools is seeking a dynamic Elementary School Social Studies/Science Teacher for the 26-27 school year at College Achieve Central Charter School in Plainfield, NJ. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging, standards-based instruction and foster an inclusive classroom that supports growth and curiosity.

You hold valid New Jersey CE, CEAS, or Standard certification (or eligibility), pass a criminal history background check, and possess a Bachelor's degree or higher.

Qualifications

• Certification in New Jersey (CE, CEAS or Standard) or eligibility.
• Must pass a criminal history background check.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and standards-based instruction.
• Develop and implement lesson plans reflecting student needs and curriculum goals.
• Establish a classroom culture that promotes learning, respect, and high expectations.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Assess and track student performance; provide feedback and intervention as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and school leadership.
• Participate in professional development sessions and school-wide initiatives.
• Support school events, field trips, and community-building activities.
• Complete administrative responsibilities including attendance, grading, and lesson planning.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive salary range: $60,000 - $80,000, commensurate with experience
