Job summary

Zeta Charter Schools seeks an experienced educator to lead K-12 instruction at our NYC-area campuses. You will plan inquiry-driven lessons, foster an inclusive classroom culture, and master Zeta's curriculum to deliver exceptional daily instruction across ELA and Math.

The role emphasizes using data and student work to drive achievement, building authentic relationships with students and families, and collaborating with colleagues through ongoing professional learning and feedback.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• 1-2+ years of lead K-12 classroom teaching experience (New York State certification preferred).

Position Overview

At Zeta, we pursue an unprecedented combination of high academic achievement and social‑emotional development for our students. We currently operate multiple elementary and middle schools across the Bronx, Upper Manhattan, and Queens, and continue to grow by opening 1-2 new schools each year. As part of our expansion, we are preparing to welcome our first‑ever Zeta High School class of 9th graders in the 2026-27 school year. Join our growing team and be a change agent for children.

Responsibilities

• Plan inquiry-driven, academically rigorous lessons that spark curiosity, deepen understanding, and empower all students to engage meaningfully with learning.
• Build a vibrant, inclusive classroom culture that nurtures a genuine love of learning and strengthens the sense of community among students and families.
• Internalize and deeply master Zeta's academic and social‑emotional curriculum, developing the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional instruction each day.
• Champion Zeta's ambitious academic goals - including ensuring that 90%+ of students achieve on or above grade level across ELA and Math - and work relentlessly to help every student reach those outcomes.
• Utilize data, student work, and research-based resources to drive student achievement and continuously refine your teaching practice.
• Develop strong, authentic relationships with students and families to support each child's academic growth and personal development.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues and engage in weekly professional learning, embracing coaching and feedback as you grow into a highly effective educator.

Compensation and Benefits

We are hiring for the 2026-2027 school year, with a start date of July 27, 2026. Salary ranges from $66,500 to $115,500 with new hires being placed near the beginning of the range depending on experience, certification, and internal equity. Compensation is based on our salary scales.

Relocation reimbursement of up to $2,500 for eligible teachers relocating to join our school community.
