Job summary

The candidate will provide instructional leadership, oversee staff supervision and evaluation, and drive organizational improvement in a high-performing, diverse district.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of effective instructional practices.
• Familiarity with Standards Aligned Curricula and 21st Century teaching and learning strategies.
• Understanding of elementary curriculum scope and supervision/evaluation of staff and programs.
• Expertise in using achievement data to advance student learning in a high achieving elementary school.
• Strong expertise in instructional technology and emergent digital literacies.
• Experience organizing and providing staff development.
• Prior administrative experience at the school site or district level.
• Experience managing organizational change.
• Possesses, or eligible for, California Administrative Certification.

• Marshal school community resources to develop a shared vision and commitments.
• Build consensus through staff and community involvement about district purposes and outcomes.
• Demonstrate conflict resolution skills and maintain open two-way communication with staff and community.
• Anticipate and analyze major issues and communicate recommendations based on educational and fiscal considerations.
• Provide programs and services for all students, including those with special needs, in a diverse district.
• Lead and empower teaching, administrative, and support staff to improve instructional programs.
