Job summary

Responsibilities include following lesson plans, monitoring progress, collaborating with teachers and staff, and contributing to IEP development.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of thirty (30) college credits from an accredited college or university.
  • Previous experience with children in an educational or childcare setting is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers and staff and follow directions.

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support students and educators within our district. The Paraprofessional will play a crucial role in fostering a positive learning environment, assisting with instructional activities, and providing support to students with diverse needs. This position requires a collaborative spirit and a commitment to enhancing the educational experience for all students.

  • Multiple paraprofessional positions available (see attached job descriptions)
  • Full-Time and Part-Time positions available
Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, ensuring they understand the material and remain engaged.
  • Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
  • Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
  • Support students with special needs, including those with physical, emotional, or learning challenges.
  • Assist with classroom management and discipline, promoting a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Prepare instructional materials and resources as directed by the teacher.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and other staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Perform clerical tasks, such as grading papers and maintaining student records, as needed.
Requirements
  • A minimum of thirty (30) college credits from an accredited college or university.
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting student learning and development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow directions from teachers and administrators.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in using educational technology.
  • Knowledge of child development and educational practices is a plus.
  • Must pass background checks and any other required screenings prior to employment.
Full Time Salary:

$29,057.28

Part Time Rate:

$22.56/hour
