Job summary

Jenison/Hudsonville Public Schools Food Service seeks an elementary lunch server to be the primary lunch server at an elementary school. Hours are 5 hours/day from approximately 9:00am to 2:00pm, following the Jenison or Hudsonville School calendar with an hourly rate of $17.00.

The role involves preparing and serving meals, and maintaining a clean service area. You will set up, operate, and close down lunch service, manage basic orders, and ensure safety, sanitation and customer service

Qualifications

• Experience serving meals in a school or cafeteria setting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
• Set up, maintain, and clean up for lunch service daily.
• Place food and product orders based on menu and customer demand.
• Maintain safety, sanitation and cleanliness standards.
• Operate production and dishwashing equipment.
• Meet and service clientele in a timely, pleasant manner.
• Record and store food and product appropriately.
• Arrive on time in proper uniform; support team as needed.
