Job summary

Briarwood Elementary in Warren, MI is seeking a part-time Elementary Lunch Supervisor to assist with student supervision in the cafeteria during meals. The role requires maintaining order, safety, and a pleasant atmosphere in designated areas in line with district policies.

The position involves supervising students, managing food/paperware flow, seating students, and coordinating with teachers and the principal for discipline and safety. Immediate start; 2 hours daily at $13.73 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required (or equivalent).
• At least 1 year of experience working with students or supervising students.
• Ability to work successfully with students.
• Physical ability to perform assigned duties.

Responsibilities

• Supervises students in the cafeteria during meals.
• Maintains orderly purchase/disposal/return system for food, trays and utensils.
• Seats students in assigned areas and circulates to assist as needed.
• Alerts teachers/principal of security or disciplinary concerns.
• Keeps tables and surrounding areas clean and sanitary.
• Communicates concerns to teachers and principal when necessary.
• Organizes orderly dismissal from cafeteria and assists in bad weather or other situations.
• Follows district policies and procedures.
