Job summary

Gallup-McKinley County Schools is seeking a School Dean (Dean-level leadership track) for Red Rock Elementary to oversee instructional leadership, staff supervision, and program development. This 204-day, 7.5 hours/day role reports to the Principal and requires a Level II Teaching License or higher.

The Dean will support instructional improvement, budget management, and community engagement to promote equitable student outcomes and high-quality education for all learners.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Level II Teaching License or Higher
• Interest in Educational Leadership.
• Flexibility in working with both adult and student learners.

Responsibilities

• Support school leadership in promoting student achievement through high-quality instruction and professional development.
• Develop and coordinate educational programs within District policy and State standards.
• Comply with ethical standards and district regulations; safeguard confidentiality.
• Engage the community to advocate for equity and diverse learning needs.
• Organize professional learning aligned with the New Mexico Professional Development Framework.
• Assist in budget management and daily school operations to meet diverse needs.
• Supervise programs that increase attendance and achievement.
• Plan and direct building maintenance and ensure health and safety compliance.
