Job summary

The Hermiston School District is seeking a Custodian for Desert View Elementary School in Hermiston, Oregon. The role involves routine cleaning and related tasks to keep facilities safe, clean, and ready for student use each day.

Starting immediately, the position requires lifting 50+ lbs, reading and writing at a 10th-grade level, and following directions. An 8.0-hour day over a 259-day contract includes excellent benefits and district retirement through PERS.

Qualifications

• Experience in school custodial work preferred.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and related work in the school buildings.
• Assist in the maintenance of buildings to keep them in operating order for full education use.
