Job summary

Paradise Valley Unified School District is seeking a Custodian III at Desert Trails Elementary School. The position is 10 months, 8 hours per day, reporting to the Building Administrator and Supervisor of Custodial and Grounds.

Responsibilities include cleaning, scheduling contracted custodians, preparing facilities for daily operations and events, and ensuring a safe environment for students and staff. Immediate start through 6/4/2027 with an Arizona driver’s license/certifications required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Criminal Background Clearance required.
• Valid Arizona DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Online Driver Training Certification and Driver's License & Evidence of Insurability.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned facilities and/or grounds to maintain a sanitary, safe and attractive environment.
• Coordinate custodial activities with administration to meet site maintenance objectives.
• Prepare facilities for daily operations and campus events; open/close facilities as needed.
• Schedule and supervise contracted custodians to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Inspect facilities to identify repairs and ensure safe operations.
• Maintain custodial schedules, inventories, and records for up-to-date reference.
• Manage supplies and equipment to ensure availability for proper facility maintenance.
• Respond to inquiries from staff, students, and visitors and address safety concerns.
• Lead and coordinate others in site custodial activities and projects.
