Job summary

Three Rivers School District is seeking a Custodian for Madrona Elementary School in Grants Pass, Oregon. The position is full-time, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 260 days per year, with a salary between $19.54 and $24.75 per hour.

New hires start at a step based on prior contracted experience, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision, plus PERS retirement contributions.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment in school housekeeping and ability to use them with skill and efficiency.
• Ability to exercise care in the use of cleaning materials for different types of building surfaces.
• Skill in the use of electrical and hand appliances ordinarily used in housekeeping activities.
• Ability to make minor repairs and adjustments to structures and equipment.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Physical strength to withstand the strain of performing eight hours of manual tasks.
• High moral standards and character necessary for association with children.
• Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with other staff members, students and general public.
• Preferably six months of experience in work relating to the care of school buildings and grounds
• Ability to understand, interpret and follow instructions.
• Ability to use email desired.
