Job summary

Tooele County seeks 3 crossing guard positions for the Stansbury Elementary School area to help children cross roadways safely before and after school. Guards will work outdoors in varying weather and coordinate with school staff and traffic signals.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, follow instructions, communicate clearly, and work independently. Must pass security checks and hold a Utah driver's license; prior crossing or traffic safety experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provides protection for elementary school students crossing roadways at designated crosswalks, before and after the school day.
• Directs and supervises traffic crossing the crosswalks in designated areas.
• Performs related duties as required.
