Job summary

The Corvallis School District is seeking a licensed professional school counselor to provide guidance, prevention and coordinated services for students. This 1.0 FTE temporary position requires a valid Oregon counselor endorsement and TSPC certification, with a calendar of 191 work days.

Starting ASAP, you’ll work with families, teachers and community partners to support students' academic and social-emotional growth. Salary ranges from $56,258 to $105,238 with benefits, prorated by FTE.

Qualifications

• Valid Oregon teacher or personnel service license with counselor endorsement.
• Strong understanding of adolescent development and guidance strategies.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with staff, parents and community resources.

Responsibilities

• Create and model a respectful learning environment.
• Work with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
• Provide classroom guidance activities and prevention programs.
• Monitor students and refer for supports as needed.
• Assist in development of individual student plans (IEP/504).
• Collaborate with staff to implement RTI and support services.
• Maintain confidential student records per laws and policy.
