Job summary

Community Counseling Solutions seeks a School Based Counselor (Mental Health Specialist III/IV) to provide culturally competent behavioral health treatment in Oregon school districts. The role includes counseling students, collaborating with school staff, and participating in crisis response while adhering to OAR guidelines.

Qualifications

• MHS IV requires doctorate or licensure (LPC/LCSW/LMFT).
• MHS III requires a master's degree in social work, psychology or related field.
• MHS II w/ Variance requires bachelor's and enrollment in a Master’s program within 4 months.
• Certification from the Department of Human Services as a Certified Mental Health Investigator may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services including screening, assessment, individual and group therapy, prevention and education.
• Coordinate case planning and act as liaison between clients and agencies.
• Participate in supervision sessions and develop student skills (organization, time management, study habits).
• Collaborate with parents/educators to support educational and career planning.
• Lead crisis response and provide after-hours emergency services on a rotating basis.
• Maintain documentation and attend trainings to benefit the agency.
