Columbia Heights Public Schools seeks two Medium Hour Cooks to work at Highland Elementary School. Schedule is 4 hours per day, 5 days per week, with a posted salary range of $18.76-$24.33 per hour.

Under supervision of the Food Service Manager, the Medium Hour Cook will help prepare and serve a variety of meals, assist with setup, sanitation, and cashier duties, and support inventory and records. Certification requirements and multicultural experience are considered in hiring.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with experience in high-volume food prep.
• Certification: Level 1 Food Service Safety and Sanitation within 6 months of hire.
• Membership in Minnesota School Nutrition Association preferred.
• Ability to work in a multicultural setting.

Responsabilités

• Prepares and serves breads, vegetables, fruits, desserts, salads and other foods; rotates through full range of food services.
• Operates serving line; prepares meals, snacks and beverages; may serve as cashier and count money.
• Sets up serving line; arranges utensils, napkins, condiments, etc.; ensures cleanliness of area.
• Cleans and sanitizes work surfaces, pots, pans and cooking utensils; mops and maintains eating area and kitchen.
• Keeps inventory of materials and supplies; completes food production records; assists in stocking.
