Job summary

North Elementary is seeking an Hourly Cook to support the Midview Local Schools food services team. This position runs 4+ hours daily, Monday through Friday, with times determined by need.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, be able to pass BCI/FBI checks, and handle physical tasks such as lifting. Training on sanitation/food safety may be required; prior experience with standardized recipes and commercial kitchen equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clear BCI/FBI background check.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting, moving heavy items).
• Ability to prepare standardized recipes using commercial kitchen equipment.
• Pre-employment skill test may be required.
• Sanitation/food safety course may be required.
• Complies with drug-free workplace rules and district policies.
• Maintains health screening requirements and attends mandated trainings.
