Job summary

Hyannis West Elementary School seeks a dedicated School Assistant to support daily activities and supervise students to maintain a safe, orderly environment during recess, lunch, and classroom transitions.

Starting immediately, you will report to the Principal, work 25 hours per week under contract, and collaborate with teaching staff to reinforce school rules and assist with clerical tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Interest in and understanding of child growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Ensure children's welfare during recess and lunch.
• Model positive behavior to promote cooperation and learning.
• Communicate school rules to students.
• Work with teachers and other school assistants.
• Monitor playground and lunchroom to prevent conflicts.
• Assist teachers with general clerical duties.
• Follow directions from the principal.
