Job summary

The Lansing School District is seeking literacy intervention teachers to ensure all students read on grade level by year end. You will provide pull-out support, tutoring, and other supplemental work in ELA, collaborating with school leaders and teachers to tailor instructional approaches for diverse urban classrooms.

Ideal candidates hold aBachelor's degree in education or ELA and a state teaching certificate with a reading endorsement; CRPBIS training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate passion for and expertise of reading.
• Provide world-class instruction in ELA to students in need of intervention support.
• Use data to guide and effectively differentiate instruction.
• Learn and grow by incorporating feedback from school leaders, colleagues, students, and professional development sessions.
• Build relationships with students and parents to ensure a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment.
• Other duties as assigned to best support the Lansing School District mission.
