ST. GEORGE CCSD NO. 258 in Bourbonnais, Illinois is seeking an outstanding Elementary Principal to lead Pre-K–8 programs, promote instructional excellence, and foster a positive school culture.

The successful candidate will oversee curriculum alignment with Illinois standards, supervise staff, ensure special education compliance, and drive student achievement through data-driven leadership.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with General Administrative Endorsement (Type 75 or equivalent).
• Pre-K through 8 teaching/administrative experience.
• Strong knowledge of Pre-K through 8 standards and curriculum.
• Strong knowledge of special education programs, regulations, and best practices.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience in educational administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision for all Pre-K through 8th grade educational programs.
• Promote high levels of student achievement through effective instructional leadership.
• Lead curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation aligned with Illinois Learning Standards.
• Supervise and evaluate certified and non-certified staff.
• Support and monitor the implementation of special education services and compliance requirements.
• Use student performance data to guide instructional improvement and school decision-making.
• Develop and maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, students, and community stakeholders.
• Manage student discipline and attendance programs.
• Assist with budgeting, scheduling, and daily school operations.
• Coordinate professional development opportunities for staff.
• Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.
