Location: Westmore Elementary

Position Purpose: To develop students' interest, abilities, talents, and skills in physical education by implementing district-approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; developing lesson plans; modeling the necessary skills to perform assigned tasks; providing a safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents, and administration regarding student progress, expectations, and goals.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles.
• Knowledge of elementary curriculum and concepts, including all subject matters taught.
• Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis, and the formulation of action plans.

Qualifications Profile: Certification/License: Illinois State Certification as Elementary Physical Education Teacher

Education: Bachelor's from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
