Job summary

The Camas School District is seeking a long-term substitute for elementary physical education, reporting to the building principal. You will plan lessons, deliver instruction, and monitor student progress to create a positive classroom environment.

The position runs from late October to late January with a salary range of $64,042 to $117,614, prorated based on days worked, and includes the district’s standard benefits. This role requires WA certification and endorsement as applicable.

Qualifications

• Washington State Certification required.
• Endorsement may be required for positions.
• Strong organizational skills and practices.
• Experience or ability to teach in an online environment.
• Experience in or knowledge of equitable teaching and learning practices and Universal Design for Learning (UDL).

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver instruction aligned to CCSS with clear objectives.
• Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Utilize MTSS to provide behavioral supports and interventions.
• Assess student progress using multiple tools and inform instruction.
• Engage in professional development and support district plans.
• Communicate with parents professionally and maintain records.
