Job summary

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of certified physical education teacher in the implementation of lesson plans and instructional developed by PE Teacher.
• Responsible for the implementation of lesson plans and instructions to classes of students assigned by PE teacher.
• Responsible for setting up and taking down PE equipment needed for classes on a daily basis.
• Assist in supervising students throughout the school day, both inside and outside the classroom, as directed by the PE teacher.
• Keep teacher informed of any special needs or problems of individual students.
• Assist with discipline of students in accordance with district/campus regulations and policy.
• Assist with the inventory, care and maintenance of equipment.
• Assist the teacher in keeping administrative records and preparing required reports.
• Provide orientation and assistance to PE substitute teacher.
• Participate in training programs, faculty meetings, and special events as needed.
• Assist P.E. Teacher with various administrative tasks which include: keyboarding, filing, grading, and recording tests.
• Keep bulletin boards updated.
• Assist with updating grade books, recording roll, recording scores, and discipline marks.
• Supervise students when assigned.
