Springfield City Schools seeks a Paraprofessional for Snyder Park Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. The district serves about 7,500 students with a 1:1 initiative and a focus on social-emotional growth.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, meeting NCLB certification standards, and the ability to obtain Ohio Teacher's Educational Aide Certification. Training hours in child development and related areas are required.

Formación

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Evidence that meets NCLB certification requirements (60 college credits OR Associate's Degree OR paraprofessional exam).
• Ability to obtain Ohio Teacher's Educational Aide Certification.
• Completion of 45 hours of training in child development/early childhood education; training in illness prevention and first aid.

Responsabilidades

• Assist teachers in providing educational benefits for students.
• Support students with academic assignments and, if needed, physical needs.
• Prepare materials, operate classroom assistive technology, attend workshops and trainings.
• Move and assist students safely, including lifting up to 50 pounds single-person and up to 300 pounds with a two-person lift (up to 20 times daily).
• Assist with transitions between classes within a 4-minute passing period.
• Assist students boarding/exiting transportation and during movement in the classroom.
• Support delegated nursing duties with proper training.

Educación

High School diploma or equivalent
