Job summary

Morenci Area Schools seeks a paraprofessional to support student learning by collaborating with classroom teachers, special education staff, and administrators. The paraprofessional provides instructional, behavioral, social-emotional, and organizational support to students in a safe, inclusive learning environment. This full-time, school-year position runs 7:30 a.m.

to 3:00 p.m. with an hourly wage of $14.58 through EduStaff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children in school or similar setting preferred.
• Experience with diverse student needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group academic support under the direction of classroom staff.
• Reinforce instruction and help students develop independence and confidence.
• Assist with classroom routines, transitions, and organization.
• Support students in meeting academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and organizational goals.
• Implement teacher-directed interventions and behavior-support strategies.
• Observe and communicate student progress to staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional interactions.
• Participate in meetings and professional development.
