Job summary

The ideal candidate has an associate's or bachelor's degree (60+ credits) or MI Paraprofessional Certification, strong communication, patience, and a passion for helping children.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree (60+ credits) or valid MI Paraprofessional Certification.
• Passion for working with children and supporting growth.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work with students, parents, staff and community.
• NCI training, preferred.
• Ability to attend to health care/behavioral needs with prescribed programs.
• School-based or classroom experience preferred, not required.
• Patience, reliability, and team-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with classroom teachers to support instruction for individuals and small groups.
• Help implement lesson plans, learning activities, and behavior support strategies.
• Provide one-on-one support to students with diverse learning needs, including IEP-supported students.
• Monitor and document student progress, and communicate observations to the classroom teacher.
• Assist with classroom management, transitions, and day-to-day operations.
• Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for every student.
