Job summary

Cheshire Public Schools is seeking a 28.75-hour Special Education Paraeducator at Norton Elementary School to support students during instruction and supervise lunch and recess. You will accompany students to specials (art, music) and assist with developmentally appropriate practices under the classroom teacher's supervision.

Experience with young children is required, with two years of college credit or an associate degree or a state paraprofessional assessment preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children.
• Ability to supervise lunch and recess and support instruction.
• Paraprofessional assessment or higher education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support students during whole and small group instruction.
• Supervise lunch and recess and accompany students to specials (art, music).
