Qualifications

• Valid Arizona teaching certificate.
• Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (AZ IVP FPCC).
• SEI endorsement is required for employment by Dysart Unified School District (DUSD).

Responsibilities

• Teaches district approved curriculum.
• Instructs students in citizenship and basic subject matter as per state law and district procedures.
• Develops lesson plans and provides individualized and small group instruction.
• Translates lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Communicates with parents outside normal classroom day including newsletters, notes, and conferences.
• Maintains standards of student behavior to create an effective learning atmosphere.
• Evaluates student progress and prepares reports.
• Plans and coordinates work of aides and volunteers in classroom and field trips.
• Creates engaging displays and learning environments.
