Job summary

Encore Music & Performing Arts is seeking a qualified Elementary Music Teacher for 3rd–5th Grade. This part-time, in-person role runs three days per week during the school day, with two student performances planned. Beginning hourly rate is $35.00, with a potential raise discussion in January.

On-site instruction, with lesson plans and performance videos provided. The position also offers an optional add-on: After School 5th Grade Beginning Band at $40.00/hour when combined with this role.

Qualifications

Elementary Music Teacher 3rd-5th Grade

Part-Time • In Person • $35.00/hour

A growing music school with two locations is seeking a qualified Elementary Music Teacher for a 3rd–5th Grade Music position. This role runs three days per week during the school day, with the year culminating in two student performances (Winter and Spring). We are looking for a highly qualified & versatile instructor to join our team of effective and caring music educators.

Instructors will begin as part-time employees. Beginning hourly rate is $35.00 with opportunity to discuss a raise in January. Lessons are taught on site, in person. We are in need of an instructor to lead general music instruction for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students, building toward two performances throughout the year. We provide the lesson plans and the written performances with practice videos. Work hours would be between 8am and 2:50pm.

Bonus Opportunity — After School 5th Grade Band

We are also still looking to fill our After School 5th Grade Beginning Band position (Monday–Thursday, 2:45–4:15 PM). This is not a requirement for the 3rd–5th Grade Music Teacher role, but instructors who are qualified and interested in leading this ensemble as well are encouraged to say so in their application — we would love to fill both positions with the right person. Instructors who take on both roles will be paid $40.00/hour for the band instruction.
