Qualifications

• Minnesota K-12 Instrumental and Classroom Music license required.
• Ability to develop lesson plans and adapt curriculum to pupil needs.
• Strong communication with parents, students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials aligned to the district curriculum.
• Translates plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Maintains pupil behavior standards to create an effective learning atmosphere.
• Evaluates pupil progress and prepares progress reports.
• Identifies pupil needs and arranges IEP-related strategies.
• Communicates with parents via Schoology, notes, calls and emails.
• Works collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors.
• Pursues professional development and stays current with teaching practices.
• Participates in a professional learning community and integrates technology.
• Performs other duties similar in scope and level.
