You're expected to implement the district policies, manage a respectful classroom, and collaborate with other staff to ensure continuity of the program. A valid NC teaching license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Music Education required.
• Master's Degree in Performance or Music Education preferred.
• Valid NC teaching license in assigned area.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
• Assist administration in implementing policies and rules governing student life and conduct.
• Maintain an orderly and engaging classroom environment for students.
• Plan and implement a music program aligned with standards and sequence of study.
• Utilize diverse methods and integrate music technologies in instruction.
• Assess student work and communicate program needs to principal.
• Collaborate with arts staff to ensure curriculum alignment across terms.
• Maintain inventory and care of musical instruments and equipment.
• Seek opportunities for professional development and growth.
