Job summary

Dinwiddie County Public Schools in Dinwiddie, Virginia invites applications for an Elementary Cafeteria Monitor. This non-exempt, hourly position supports meal service, maintains order, and assists with cleanup and student flow.

3-4 hours per day, up to five days a week, with a part-time schedule. Under supervision of the Building Principal, monitors student behavior during meals, promotes a positive lunchroom environment, and collaborates with staff to ensure safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with children encouraged.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet and relate to students, staff, visitors and others in a polite manner.
• Promote a positive lunchroom environment for students and staff.
• Supervise students and enforce behavior guidelines at lunch.
• Maintain order and cleanliness in the cafeteria and serving lines.
• Assist with meal-service flow and movement of classes as scheduled.
