Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools Richard and Mildred Loving Elementary School in Leesburg, VA is seeking a part-time Cafeteria Monitor to supervise students in the lunchroom and support the daily lunch service at the elementary school. You will oversee student conduct, assist with the lunch line (condiments, milk cartons, napkins), and help maintain an orderly, respectful dining environment.

This role requires high school graduation and strong communication with children and families.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of student behavior and family demographics of LCPS schools.
• Ability to supervise children, maintain discipline, and perform lunchroom duties.
• Good human relations and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee students from entry to exit the lunchroom.
• Assist students with lunch-line tasks (condiments, opening milk, napkins, etc.).
• Maintain orderly lunchroom atmosphere and encourage good table etiquette.
• Assist parents, relatives, or visitors in the lunchroom.
• Arrange tables for seating of students.
• Assist with clean up after lunch periods and at day’s end.
• Know fire exits and safety procedures for emergencies.
• Perform related work as required.
