Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking a part-time Cafeteria Monitor at Belmont Station Elementary School in Ashburn, VA. You will supervise students in the lunchroom, assist with the lunch line, and help maintain a safe, orderly dining environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication with children and staff, and the ability to work flexible hours in a school setting. This position reports to the Principal and pays a banded rate.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• Ability to work effectively with children.
• Good human relations and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee students from entry to exit of the lunchroom.
• Assist students with the lunch line, including condiments, milk, and napkins."
• Maintain an orderly lunchroom by encouraging etiquette and respect among students.
• Assist parents, relatives, or visitors in the lunchroom.
• Arrange tables for seating of students.
• Assist with cleanup after lunch periods and dismissal.
• Know fire exits to use in emergencies.
• Perform related work as required.
