Job summary

Andover Public Schools is seeking a part-time cafeteria monitor to supervise students during meal service and help keep the cafeteria clean and organized. The role involves assisting with recycling, ensuring smooth meal flow, and working under the supervision of the principal with guidance from the Food and Nutrition Services Department.

The position requires the ability to follow instructions, communicate effectively with students and staff, and perform duties with reliability and speed.

• Physically able to perform duties assigned at sufficient speed.

Responsibilities

• Manages students during meal service
• Communicates with students and school staff in a positive and professional manner utilizing appropriate customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Circulate throughout the cafeteria or in areas where meals are served and/or eaten assisting students who need assistance
• Assists with the cleanliness of the cafeteria.
• Dismisses classes in an orderly manner at the scheduled time
• Performs other duties as assigned.
