Job summary

Cobb County School District in Georgia is seeking a Lunchroom Monitor in the Nutrition Services division to ensure a clean, safe cafeteria. The role involves supervising students, enforcing cafeteria rules, and supporting daily routines.

This temporary, on-site position requires strong communication with students and staff and adherence to dress code and safety procedures. The work is as-needed with varied hours.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
• Demonstrates courtesy and assistance to students, parents and staff.
• Cleans and sanitizes cafeteria tables using proper procedures and appropriate chemicals.
• Implements cafeteria plan on a consistent basis.
• Informs administration of needs and concerns as related to assigned duties.
• Assists with clean up and spills, etc.
• Monitors student cleanup.
• Replenishes utensils, napkins and condiments as needed.
• Demonstrates appropriate glove usage when handling utensils, napkins and condiments.
• Dismisses students in an organized manner.
• Adheres to FNS approved dress code for Lunchroom Monitors (shirts with sleeves, pants or skirts below the knee, closed-toe and closed-heel shoes) and personal hygiene standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.
