Job summary

The New Milford Public School District is seeking an Elementary School Lunch Aide to support students during lunch and recess, helping maintain a safe, positive environment in the cafeteria and on the playground.

Qualifications

• Availability to work Monday through Friday, 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM.

• Familiarity or prior experience with elementary students is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Student Supervision – Maintain a safe, orderly, and positive environment while supervising assigned student groups in the cafeteria and on the recess yard/playground.
• Safety & Guidance – Assist students during lunchtime routines and monitor playground activities to ensure safety and fair play.
• Team Collaboration – Work collaboratively with school staff, teachers, and administration to support student well-being and follow school protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Availability – Must be available to work Monday through Friday (11:30 AM – 1:30 PM).
• Child-Centered Mindset – Must genuinely enjoy working with elementary‑aged children and possess a patient, encouraging demeanor.
