Lake Forest School District 67 seeks two Long-Term Substitute Teaching Assistants for Cherokee Elementary School from January 4, 2027 to June 4, 2027. The role supports teachers and students with classroom tasks and supervision across bus, lunch, and recess scenarios.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and appropriate licensure; crisis intervention training is preferred, along with experience supporting students with disabilities and using school management systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Illinois Professional Educator License, Paraprofessional License, or Substitute License.
• Nonviolent Crisis Prevention Intervention Certificate preferred.
• Experience working with children and/or adolescents with disabilities - preferred.
• Experience with office and school-based management systems - preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist students and teachers with classroom duties.
• Supervise students during bus, lunch, playground, and assemblies.
• Perform other duties assigned by the building administrator.
