• Educators teaching Kindergarten through third grade must meet the Alaska Reads Act requirements.

Responsibilities

• Describe their philosophy of education and relate it to practice.
• Maintain standards of pupil behavior to support an effective learning atmosphere.
• Organize time for balanced instruction, demonstration, work time and assessment.
• Develop lesson plans and provide differentiated instruction to meet pupil needs.
• Use current technology to enhance instruction and for record-keeping and research.
• Mentor apprentice teachers and collaborate with staff to support educator development.
