Qualifications

• Valid Montana teaching license with a K-12 Principal endorsement.
• Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Educational Administration, or a related field.
• Demonstrated understanding of child and adolescent development.
• Ability to relate to and work with children and adults.
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, parents/family members, teachers, support staff, supervisors, and the general public.
• Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from students, parents/families, staff and the community.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of employment and student matters.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, implementing and evaluating instructional programs to ensure the success of all learners.
• Assist the principal as an instructional leader in the building.
• Analyze student performance data as a basis for curriculum improvement and staff development.
• Actively participate as a team member in MTSS.
• Supervise daily routines and safety procedures, including building coverage when the principal is absent.
• Oversee adherence to the student handbook and school policies.
• Coordinate extracurricular events and activities with the principal.
• Foster a climate conducive to learning with mutual respect and engagement.
• Assist in discipline and attendance processes with due-process considerations.
• Collaborate with families and staff to achieve educational goals.
• Supervise and evaluate staff as assigned.
• Follow all board policies and administrative procedures.
